It was only six months ago that Hallmark Channel USA had about 250 fans on their Facebook page. Today, they have more than 67,500 “likes,” approximately 5,000 of those having been gained since April 19 alone, when the Meet My Mom tab was added to their page.
More than 500 users have uploaded virtual testimonials, many of them from military servicemen and women abroad. See them here.
Hallmark was able to engage their fans by using a tool that was not only interactive, but that also zeroed in on someone important in everyone’s life: their mother. Getting people excited about a unique way to honor “mom” also helped the promotion to spread like wildfire.
